Jäätävän kova levy ja aivan uusi tuttavuus mulle tämä laulaja!

Civil Warin The Killer Angelsia olen nyt pyöritellyt pari kertaa. Huh huh. Upea levy. N-P Johansson vahvistaa asemaansa yhtenä suosikkilaulajistani, kertakaikkiaan hieno suoritus. Levyllä ei ole yhtään edes keskinkertaista biisiä, pelkkää laatua. Parhaista parhain lienee Saint Patrick´s Day, toisena Rome Is Falling ja kolmantena Lucifer´s Court. Loput ovat hyvin lähellä, mutta jotain niistä uupuu, etteivät näille mainituille pärjää.

Helposti vuoden levy tähän saakka. Kertakaikkiaan meikäläiselle tehty. Piste. Teistä muista en välitä, mä NAUTIN !!!

Masterplan ja M.Karlssonin Freefall tulossa, en jaksa uskoa, että tälle pärjäävät.

Tuohon uutiseen voi vielä lisätä että Maiden jatkoilla vaihdoin pari sanaa basisti Pärin kanssa ja uusi levy tulee ulos 2014 keväällä.

Ei oikeen jaksanut lämppärinä Sabaton kiinnostaa, vaikka tulihan se ihan puoli-innolla kahtottuakin tietty. Uuden levyn myötä sitten kunnolla taas. Uusimman levyn myötä tällä rundilla nähny nyt 9 keikkaa ja viimeinen vielä loppuvuodesta Saksassa Karlsruhessa.

Bluray ostoon tietty - saa nähä joutuuko häpeämään.

Tuo DVD on kai eilen julkaistu, mutta ei jostain syystä kiinnosta kotisohvalle asti bändin meno nyt, vaikka Carolus Rex hyvä levy onkin.

Enemmän, huomattavastikin, inspaisi Civil Warin keikallepääsy! Tuossa on Gettysburgin video, muistelemassa männäkesän rundiaan.

Update from the Civil War camp:

"We are working on songs for the next album. Without saying too much we can reveal that it will be more power and more metal!!
We have also added one more date to the tour and ticket info for the German gigs. More cool news will be out soon but for now we say over and out heading back to the woods for some serious moose hunting!"

Rumpalin vaihto:

For some time there has been rumors about Robban coming back soon, or that Snowy would fill in for a while longer, or even take Robbans place permanently behind the drums.

To put an end to these rumors we now present our new full time member in Sabaton: Hannes Van Dahl.

Hannes has previously played in Evergrey which we have toured with in the past, and he has also worked side by side with us as drum technician for Snowy during his time in Sabaton.

He did his first show as a Sabaton member at this weekends show at Metal Hammer Paradise festival in Germany.

We would of course like to thank Robban and Snowy for their great time in Sabaton, and we will continue to support them in everything they will do in the future!

In just a few weeks we will start recording a new album and more details will be presented very soon!
The topic for the new album is set and we are very excited, it´s totally SABATON.

Ensin mietin, että Soldier of 3 Armies kertoo siitä itäblokin maassa olleesta sotavangista, mutta toisaalta Lauri Törnikin taisteli kolmessa armeijassa ainakin Wikipedian mukaan (miehen tarinaa en kummemmin tunne, ainakaan tuon Saksan armeijan osalta).

mutta toisaalta Lauri Törnikin taisteli kolmessa armeijassa ainakin Wikipedian mukaan (miehen tarinaa en kummemmin tunne, ainakaan tuon Saksan armeijan osalta).

Tuo Mauno Jokipiin kirja, mikä artikkelissa mainitaan, kannattaa lukaista. Kelpo romaani, rasismia, viinaa + tappelua, verta ja romantiikkaa. Tosin vaarin n. samanikäisenä (s. 1920) Viipurista tietämä Lauri ("pirtutrokarin poika!" sanoi aina) ehti moneksi. taas kerran muihin verrattuna:

Maanpetoksesta tuomittu Lauri Törni pakeni Yhdysvaltoihin ja aloitti siellä sotilasuran uudestaan. Törni oli ollut Saksan tiedustelupalvelun erikoiskoulutuksessa Saksassa Lapin sodan aikana. Hänen oli tarkoitus toimia saksalaisten Suomeen masinoiman vastarintaorganisaation kouluttajana.

En usko, että tuo Soldier Of 3 Nations voisi olla kenestäkään muusta; aika siistiä.

"Heroes", the new album from Swedish metallers SABATON, will be released on May 16 via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork for the effort was created by Péter Sallai. A number of bomus tracks will be made available, including cover versions of songs originally written and recorded by METALLICA, BATTLE BEAST and RAUBTIER.

Says SABATON: "BATTLE BEAST was our secret guest at our latest Sabaton Cruise and we all enjoyed watching them perform their songs live. We thought we wanted to support young and upcoming bands and decided to do a cover of them."

RAUBTIER - "En Hjältes Väg"

Says SABATON: "RAUBTIER are our brothers from the north of Sweden. We have played together countless times and in the past, and Thobbe used to be in this band. At a special concert in 2012, Joakim performed this song live together with RAUBTIER and it awoke the idea of doing a cover version. Seeing to the song title it was also a natural choice for our latest album, 'Heroes'."

Nyt löytyy koko levy p2pnettikaupasta, puoli levyä kuunnelleena voi vaan todeta että helvetin kova!

Edit. Muutaman kerran läpi kuunnellaana täytyy todeta että bändin paras levy jolla on bändin paras biisi.

En tiedä bändin parhaasta, mutta tosi tyytyväinen olen itsekin. Ehkä 1 tai maksimissan 2 muita heikompaa, mutta hyvä taso on slovaria myöten!

Ihan oikea ratkaisu edellisen, hienon teema-eepoksen jälkeen tehdä tällainen kevyemmän heeros-konseptin levy, kaikinpuolin lyhyemmillä kestoilla.
