No levyähän nyt voi kuunella ennakkoon vaikkapa youtubesta, sieltäkin löytyy jo kaikki levyn biisit. Helmikuun loppupuolellahan toi vasta tulee kauppoihin, kaipa tää on cd-muodossa osteltava.Make#34 wrote:Mitäs.

Kele.

Former HELLOWEEN vocalist Michael Kiske is collaborating with American singer Amanda Somerville on a brand new melodic hard rock/metal project for Frontiers Records. Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER) and Magnus Karlsson (PLACE VENDOME, PRIMAL FEAR) are handling most of the songwriting for the CD, which is tentatively due in early 2010.
Commented Kiske: "This is another idea by Serafino (Frontiers owner). I did a duet with a female singer on 'Breathing Water' by INDIGO DYING. It was so nice that he offered me a chance to make an album of all duet songs with a famous female singer."
Sinner added: "We're working hard on the songwriting for the first [Kiske/Somerville] album. It's a pleasure to write and produce Michael's next album, and with Amanda as the co-singer, it's something very special. I wrote songs with Magnus and Jimmy Kresic for the album, and we're really excited about the songs. Eight tracks are pre-produced now and we need another two songs before we will start the real recordings. AFTER FOREVER mainman Sander Gommans plans to join us and he's working on new songs with Amanda at the moment! Look out for a melodic metal masterpiece in early 2010!"
Somerville is the American singer-songwriter and vocal coach who was tapped to replace EPICA vocalist Simone Simons on the band's North American tour with SYMPHONY X due to Simons' health issues.
Amanda was featured on KAMELOT's latest release, "Ghost Opera", and recently toured with AVANTASIA. She last year released her long-awaited solo album, "Windows".
A Michigan native, Amanda has resided and worked mainly in Germany and the Netherlands since 1999. She has collaborated with several other bands in the metal scene along with producers Sascha Paeth and Miro, and co-wrote the rock opera "Aina". Her own music is of the pop-rock genre.
Planeettapää wrote: Ikuisuusaiheeseen, meikäläinen on muuten aina tykännyt Chameleonista aika paljon, muutama turha biisi löytyy kuten In The Night sekä Shitmill, mutta Giants, Music, I Believe ja kaunis Longing on ihan mahtavia biisejä.
Aivan kuin omasta suustani (tai näppäimistöltä).Jyyd wrote:Giants oli hyvinkin kovassa luukutuksessa aikoinaan, ehkä tuossa vaan on joku upea tunnelma mikä koukuttaa. Musicissa etenkin sanoitukset koskettaa omaa sydäntä hieman omaelämänkerrallisesti, siksi läheinen biisi.
Pitäähän tuo(kin) ostaa!MAT SINNER Continuing Work On KISKE/SOMERVILLE Project - Oct. 10, 2009
Commented Sinner: "We've finished the songwriting for 12 original new songs — no covers .... and a week ago, we started the final recordings! Everything looks cool and the song material is amazing!"
Additional songwriting contributions on the CD will come from former AFTER FOREVER guitarist Sander Gommans, Amanda Somerville ("Arise", "A Thousand Suns", "Set Afire") and Sinner with keyboard maestro Jimmy Kresic ("End Of The Road" and "Devil In Her Heart", which are described as "two outstanding symphonic songs"). Other songtitles set to appear on the album include "Silence", "Don't Walk Away", "Rain", "Nothing Left To Say", "If I Had A Wish", "One Night Burning" and "Second Chance".
Added Sinner: "We're recording in two studios at the moment. Magnus is recording guitars at his own Stuntguitar studios in Sweden and I'm working at the Audiospezialist studio in Germany with drummer Martin Schmidt (ex-ATROCITY, RMC BAND) and keyboarder Jimmy Kresic (VOODOO CIRCLE).
"After the PRIMAL FEAR European tour, we will start with the vocal and choir recordings and I'm really looking forward to be a part of this progress.
"This album is a big challenge and it sounds already like something really special for me in a time we face a hundred metal releases every month.
"Sander Gommans will join the team and will add some lead guitars and we're talking to two more prominent musicians for a guest appearance."
Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, EDGUY) will mix and master the album at Indiscreet studios for a spring release.
Jussi wrote:Uusi label Sony Music, nämä SPV:n jutut varmasti hidastuttavat vielä monia (mm. Gamma Ray) mutta mysteerilevy siis viimein tulossa:Uudet sovitukset kyllä kiinnostavat, ja vaikka välityö onkin, ei toivottavasti mikään Metal Jukebox (kah, siitäkin on tasan 10 vuotta). Vähän lyhykäiseltä näyttää 11 biisiä, mutta tuo medley tietysti vie tilaa aika roimasti.Hello to all Pumpkin Maniacs!
We deeply apologize the weeks of silence - which were weeks of insecurity for us - about the bands European label situation and the release date of the long awaited “UNARMED – Best-Of 25th Anniversary” album.
Thus we are proud to finally announce that we have teamed up with SONY MUSIC in coop. with SPV, to release our upcoming records!
We also want to use this opportunity to welcome the highly motivated team of SONY MUSIC in the world of Helloween and it´s fans!
Release dates of “UNARMED – Best-Of 25th Anniversary”:
December 16th, 2009 - Japan & Southeast Asia (JVC/Victor)
January 29th, 2010 - Europe (SONY/SPV)
The release dates for the American continent will be announced soon
“UNARMED – Best-Of 25th Anniversary” is a big ‘thank-you’ to all our fans, old and new all over the world! Instead of putting together a regular greatest hits compilation featuring our most successful tracks to celebrate this anniversary, we completely rearranged and rerecorded the greatest songs and melodies of our career.
Together with our tried and tested producer, Charlie Bauerfeind, we invited many great musicians to guest on this special record, with the doubtless highlight of having the 70-piece Prague Symphonic Orchestra performing "The Keeper´s Trilogy", a 17 minute medley consisting of the songs "Halloween", "Keeper of the Seven Keys" and "The King for A 1000 Years" - goose bumbs guaranteed!
Here´s a list of all songs we recorded: Dr. Stein * Future World * If I Could Fly * Where The Rain Grows * The Keeper´s Trilogy * Eagle Fly Free * Perfect Gentleman * Forever & One * I Want Out * Falling To Pieces * A Tale That wasn`t Right *
We aren’t one of those bands who like to celebrate themselves, we just want to say ‘thank you’ in our own special way to all of you who have followed us through the past 25 years - to us, this album stands for an official celebration. It was a big challenge & great experience and we had a lot of fun recording our most important tracks in an entirely new ‘outfit’ and with new arrangements - we hope you like them!
Sincerely yours,
Andi, Michael, Markus, Sascha & Dani

Former HELLOWEEN Vocalist Michael Kiske, Members Of PINK CREAM 69 Launch UNISONIC
Posted on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 09:12:59 EST
Former HELLOWEEN vocalist Michael Kiske's website has been updated with the following:
A new band is about to enter the rock world: UNISONIC marks the fusion of exceptional vocalist Michael Kiske (ex-HELLOWEEN) with Dennis Ward (bass) and Kosta Zafiriou (drums) of Germany's PINK CREAM 69. Swiss guitarist Mandy Meyer who is known for his work with ASIA, GOTTHARD and KROKUS completes the lineup.
Unisonic features Michael Kiske joining a real band situation for the first time in almost 16 years: Since his departure from Helloween in late 1993, he participated in various projects and released several solo albums. In the project PLACE VENDOME four years ago he not only recorded with Ward and Zafiriou, he found two musical soul mates as well. After the sequel album of PV, the trio decided to join forces for a new band. Dennis Ward, who had previously produced a record for Krokus, suggested Mandy Meyer as the perfect addition for the vacant job on the guitar.
Sharing the vision of a rock band free from any musical corsets, the foursome already started writing songs for their debut album, which is scheduled for release in late spring of 2010.
Michael Kiske, one of the finest and most unique voices in contemporary rock music, explains his motivation of becoming a part of a band again: "Since the Place Vendome-productions I was impressed by Dennis Ward's skills as a songwriter and producer. We were occasionally fooling around since then via email that we should do more together in the future, so the idea came up to do a new band. I was generally getting a bit tired of doing everything on my own for so many years, so it just felt like the right thing to do now. We can all only benefit from working together. No matter how good you are solo, four people will always be better than one I think, if they manage to function together. And a real band is also a very good reason to finally go on tour again - after 17 years I can't wait to get back on stage and have some fun with the band and the fans!"
In summer 2010, Unisonic will hit the festival stages all over Europe, further territories will follow the rest of the year, so watch out for dates
in your area!
