Toivottavasti joku tajuaa napata bändin myös vähän etelämmäksi soittelemaan, kerta tänne puolelle itämerta vihdoin rantautuvat. Jos ei, niin pitää varmaan edes jonkilainen selvitys tehdä miten visiitti Ouluun onnistuisi, kun onhan oishan siellä juurikin Hammerin ylempänä mainitsemat bändit myös näytillä.

Alkaa tosiaan toi Jalometalli nousta aika kovaksi tapahtumaksi. Rahaa palaa helvetti sentään ens kesänä ihan sikana, mutta pakko laittaa Jalo vakavaan harkintaan. Astral Doors olis upea nähdä livenä ja Jalometallissa tulis "aika" kovia nimiä kaupan päälle Uusin levy, Raiders Of The Ark EP ja Evil Is Forever on mahtavia tekeleitä.

Onhan tätä bändiä mulle tuupattu kuunteluun jo aiemminkin. Nyt sitten vasta kolahti. Aikas hyvä hitto onkin todella. ISO RUKSI SEINÄÄN !!! Vanha pieru omaksuu jotain uuttakin.

Jalometalliin vois lähteäkin katsomaan. On vaan pari hidastetta. 3 päivää aiemmin palataan 12-päivän itä-euroopan kiertueelta. Ja Oulu toisena hidasteena. Turhan pitkä matka todellakin. Joskus itten paremalla ajalla ja paikassa.

Astral Doors Writes New Songs

Yes, we're back in the studio, creating music for the masses. This time around we will make one, or perhaps two, album(s) that'll shake the world of hard rock and heavy metal in its foundations. We realize that there are two camps in the astral fan squad: one side that likes our classic old school Dio style and one side that likes the more modern, New Revelation-power metal side of us. We can tell you this: no one will be disappointed with the new material; it's pure magic!

We'll take a little break from the recordings to do the big indoor festival, Monsters Of Mora in Mora, Sweden. See you there!!

In other news, we can inform you that the Scandinavian tour was great: we met a lot of new fans out there and drank a lot of nice beers.

It's about time that we give you all a real update of what's happening in the Astral Kingdom at the moment. We've received many mails from worried fans asking us where we are and why it's so quiet from us right now. Well, the answer is: we're working harder than ever before, but not public. We have actually moved into the studio; writing and recording songs for the upcoming album. We have written 20 songs ot something at the moment and more will come. The creativity has never been at this level before, so we will continue the work a few more months before we go to mixing. What more to say? Well, our new management Flying Dolphin, with Mr.Chris Boltendahl in the lead, does a great job for us and we feel that the future looks very, very promising. In August we'll come up with a big surprise for you and then a new album and a great tour all across Europe.

So, there you have it: the present and the future of Astral Doors!!

Hyvältä ja lupaavalta näyttää, eikun AD:lle uutta vaihdetta silmään (toivottavasti biisinkirjoitus säilyy parhaassa terässä tuossa luomisvimmassakin)!

Mukava lukea, että jollain bändillä on tuollainen draivi päällä. Eikä tilannetta yhtään haittaa se, että bändi sattuu olemaan yksi tämän vuosituhannen piristävimmistä tapauksista heavyn saralla. Edellinen levy oli askel ylöspäin sitä edellisen jälkeen, aika mielenkiintoinen kommentti tuo Dio/power-vertailu. Mulle kelpaa kumpikin tyyli oikein mainiosti. Sekoitus viimeisintä ja debyyttiä voisi olla jotakuinkin parasta mahdollista. Jos tulee tuplat ja sekä että, niin saatan olla aika tyytyväinen ? Odotellaan.

BACK TO THE ROOTS
The work on the upcoming album continues. Over 20 songs are written and the recording session seems to never end, hehe. This time around we feel that the songs are more straight forward and the sound's a bit rougher compared to the previous one, but with tons of catchy hooks. If you liked the first 2 albums you will love this one: it will be back to the hard rock roots in the true spirit of Astral Doors!

Ei kyllä malttais odottaa. On tuo vaan niin saakelin hyvä bändi ja rautaista musiikkia korville!

Mielenkiinnolla kyllä levyä odotellaan, mutta tuo "Back to the Roots" ei kuulosta omaan korvaani järin lupaavalta. Nimittäin juuri edellinen New Revelation oli itselleni juuri bändin THE-levy, kun esim. paljon ylistetty debyytti ei ole kuin kohtalaisen kova levy.

Mä olen ehkä enemmän sen alkupään tuotannon kannalla. Kaikki levyt toki vähintään 4/5 mut jos on pakko valita niin paras levy on eka.
Sinänsä se on aika sama jatkavatko siitä mihin NR:n jälkeen jäivät vai palaavatko rootsille, kovaa kamaa tullee varmasti, eikä noi levyt nyt NIIN erilaisia keskenään oo olleet. Ja joo, ei tosiaan malttais ootella.

Astral Doors on kyllä ihan perkeleen kova! Varsinkin New Revelation on ihan uskomaton levy. Evil Is Forever ja Raiders of The Ark edustavat myös itselleni sitä superkovaa materiaalia bändiltä. Eipä tosin se debyyttikään missään nimessä huono ole vaan ihan hyvin sekin toimii

ASTRAL DOORS Pens Official Anniversary Song For Swedish Ice Hockey Team - July 20, 2009

Swedish metallers ASTRAL DOORS have issued the following update:

"One of Sweden's most beloved ice hockey teams, Leksands IF, celebrates its 90th anniversary this year and ASTRAL DOORS has written the official anniversary song, 'Hyllning Till Leksand'. It will be released as a single. It's a great honor for us and we hope that the fans, the players and everyone connected to the club will take the song to their hearts."

ASTRAL DOORS will perform "Hyllning Till Leksand" live for the very first time at the Leksands IF anniversary cruise on August 27.

ASTRAL DOORS has written more than 20 songs for the beand's next album. Tiedustelin AD:n "suuresta yllätyksestä" joka oli määrä julkaista tässä kuussa ja vastaus tulee tässä:

Hmm, laulajasta ei onneksi tarvinne pelätä. Basisti on näyttänyt vähän kyllästyneeltä, joten liekö tällainen vähäisempi muutos. Kosketinsoittaja ja rumpali taisivat olla tärkeämpiä tässä bändissä (jos muistan oikein) sävellystyölle, joten toivottavasti ei sieltä päin ulkoisteta, kitaristeista (pääbiisintekijöinä) puhumattakaan. Mutta katsotaan mitä tapahtuu.
