^Huoooh, tuolla hollanninkielisessä arviossa on näemmä ylänurkassa nappi mistä saa tuon saman englanniksi. Kuulemma kuitenki huono käännös, laitoin hollantilaiselle kaverille joka huomas tuon napin mutta käänsi tuon silti eli paremmin käännetty versio ois:

"Third shock on the World is caused by the Finnish quartet through
their new album "From Above." I would lie if I said that I have been
following the career of the band for a long time. I am trying to get
to know them just now from zero. When I first took the promo disc into
my hands after some really hot days, I did not want to listen to a
complex, intellectual music. When I heard the first song, it was nice
to see that my unsaid wish came true.

Before criticizing the musical value of the disc, we have to talk
about the extraordinary record sleeve. It's seductive on the first
sight - it seems to be a little "crappy". The photo above does not
show what I am talking about, but on the record sleeve of the original
disc we can see that it's created from little pieces which also have
their own separate meanings; however the little pieces together create
a special complex atmosphere. It reminds me of the record sleeve of
Morbid Angel's Altars of Madness. Although the record sleeve of
Malicious Death has more avant-garde style effects.

The music is categorized as thrash and we could step over it if this
band were one of the average bands who are copying the heroes of the
80's. Luckily they are not one of these average bands. No Finnish band
could come to the throne of the thrash style (however many could be
the best in dark, pagan and black style). I do not tell that this
album is a world sensation, but for sure it is nonusual, nonstandard
music. However the guys do not complicate things. The guys from
Helsinki grant us authentic, instinctive, filthy shredding. The album
has few guitar solos in it, but the music is far from boring. The
basis of their repertoire is Motörhead and punk feeling (No Justice)
with some plethora. We can also feel the effect of the Bay area
(Crooked Cross, Storm of the Metal, Thrash Till Death). I am also
satisfied with the sound engineer work as the dirty, smoky tone of the
music instruments also contribute to the special atmosphere of the
disc and overstep discs of average thrash bands.

Malicious Death have created an album without cramps and hyperbolism.
Very likeable that they are not content with the copying of role
models, but they created their special unique style, which does not
leave the main line, but is even more colourful and unique. I am
saying goodbye with the slogan of Obadio, the guitar player of the
band: "Rock 'n' Roll is cool, but Heavy Metal rules!"

Hinnasta ei _vieläkään_ itsellä tietoa, soittoajoista puhumattakaan :/ Laitan kyllä jos vielä jotain selviää ajoissa. MD ei kuitenkaan soita kitaristin muuttokiireiden takia vikana, vaan toisena.

Uunituoretta vinyyliä kuitenkin kaupan 15e hintaan. Ja CD:tä ja rättiä myös toki.

Näemmä unohtunu päivittää jo ajat sitten että levyä myyvät myös saksalaiset Hellion Records ja Karthago Records. Hellionilta myytiin kuulemma jo eka erä loppuun mutta lisää on matkalla sinne, tässä niiden kuvaus levystä:

Sainpa vihdoin uusimman Miasman yli kuukauden myöhässä, siinä oli tämmönen arvio (korjasin muutaman typon):

"Malicious Deathia voitaisiin jo miltei kutsua veteraaniyhtyeeksi Suomen thrash metal -skenessä, vaikka oikeisiin vanhoihin bändeihin verrattuna tämä helsinkiläisryhmä on nuori. Bändi herätti aikoinaan huomiota soittamalla musiikkia, jota kukaan ei oikein Suomessa noihin aikoihin soittanut, mutta nyt tilanne on hieman toinen. Kilpailusta huolimatta Malicious Death kuitenkin pitää pintansa kolmannella levyllään, sillä tämähän on luultavasti parasta tavaraa, mitä olen tyypeiltä kuullut. Ei ruudinkeksimistä, mutta rehellistä thrashia sitäkin enemmän.

Uusi laulaja Greger oli pieni pettymys lauteilla Malicious Deathin riveissä, mutta levyllä tämä persoonallinen Loisestakin tunnetuksi tullut kaveri kyllä näyttää kyntensä. Kunnon Schmier-kiljahdukset rikastuttavat perusmeininkiä, ja suoritus on kauttaaltaan intensiivinen. Obadio-Bilibaldus -kaksikon riffikynä on ollut terävänä, ja vaikkei nyt mitään totaalista superriffiä välttämättä ilmoille lauotakaan, biisit rullaavat eteenpäin erittäin vaivattomasti. On joukossa jotain vähän tylsempääkin tavaraa, mutta kokonaisuus on sen verran pirteä, että ei tästä voi olla oikein pitämättä. Gregerin psykedeelinen kansitaide ansaitsee vielä bonuspisteet.
