*Feridean ohella; tuo on ensimmäinen demonsa ja 3+ on tosi hyvin (1-5 asteikolla), kun ei edes omasta mielestäni bändin parempia (lyhyempiä) biisejä sisällä, kuten edellisen Nuken keikan aloittanut Dreamer's Soul. Tänään Amendfoilin kanssa Hevimestassa sitten!

Ei aivan huono, mutta kun tosiaan lopulta alkaa, niin vars. kappalehan on noin 3½ minuuttinen vain sitten. Tuli Dreamtalen tietyt jutut mieleen, mitkä on aina plussaa! Kävinpä eilen katsastamassa Powerwolfin Tavastialla. Hyvä keikka ja todella harmi että yleisö tuskin oli edes kahta sataa. Settilista oli sama kuin loppuvuodesta eli tämä. Varsinainen sähköjänis se urkuri, varmaan veti enemmän ympäri lavaa kuin Attila.

UK Metal titans DRAGONFORCE are nearing completion of their sixth studio album entitled 'Maximum Overload'.
Produced by Jens Bogren at Fascination Studios in Örebro and Varberg, Sweden, the new opus will be the band’s first ever album involving an outside producer, having historically opted to record themselves in association with Karl Groom.

'Maximum Overload' will be the band’s debut album for new label Ear Music, part of the German Edel music group, who will release the album in the UK on August 18th, and in USA on Metal Blade Records on August 19th.
"Working with Jens gave us a different perspective on the songs and a different sound dynamic. We always previously recorded in our own studios but recording in Sweden made us focus and maybe drove us harder, Jens certainly did, he doesn't believe in days off"! said guitar maestro Herman Li.
"The album title and album cover artwork is inspired by the constant bombardment of information we are subjected to during our daily lives" Li added. "We were in an airport departure lounge surrounded by TV screens, flight information screens and advertising screens. We then looked around and no one was saying a word, they were all looking at more screens on tablets, laptops and mobile phones, there's no escaping it, it's complete information overload"!
'Maximum Overload' features a couple of surprises, notably a guest appearance on some of the songs from Trivium’s Matt Heafy. "We've always gotten on really well with the Trivium guys and it was great when Matt had a couple of days to spare and agreed to weigh in on some of the songs"! added Frederic Leclercq.
The album also features an all time first for DragonForce.....a cover version! Sam Totman explained "Just before the last Australian tour our manager suggested it might be interesting to do a cover for the next album, something we've always refused even to consider. Because we had all had a couple beers every band member wrote down 3 songs each and we compared them all, just for a laugh. I wrote down 'Ring Of Fire' by Johnny Cash, an idea which the rest of the band loved, so we've DragonForce-ized it"!
'Maximum Overload' will be released on Standard CD, Standard Digital Version, Special Edition CD with 5 bonus tracks and a bonus DVD, Special Edition Digital Version (same bonus material as Special Edition CD), and Vinyl.
The band will embark on a massive 20 date UK & Ireland tour in September under the strapline ‘….this time it’s personal’ alluding to the fact that instead of playing a handful of larger venues the band are playing many shows geographically spread out across the country. Commenting on the nature of the tour Herman Li said “We did a tour like this in between the Sonic Firestorm and Inhuman Rampage albums and have wanted to repeat it ever since but couldn’t because of touring commitments elsewhere in the world. This time we were determined to make it happen so we’re going to some cities we haven’t visited for years and some we’ve never visited at all. One of the venues is a boat and one is a deconsecrated church! It will be great to see the fans up close and personal again, it’s going to be very hot, very sweaty and great fun!”

Ahoy there righteous dudes, babes, and all fans of Pirate Metal! It is my very great pleasure to tell you all that Alestorm's 4th album, to be entitled "Sunset on the Golden Age" will be released by Napalm Records on August 1st 2014 in Europe (Aug 4th in the UK, Aug 5th in North America)!
The tracklist for the album will be as follows:

2 - Drink
3 - Magnetic North
4 - 1741 (The Battle of Cartagena)
5 - Mead from Hell
6 - Surf Squid Warfare
7 - Quest for Ships
8 - Wooden Leg!
9 - Hangover
10 - Sunset on the Golden Age
Wow! Songtitles! Exclamation marks! We'll be telling you a bit more about the individual tracks sometime soon. What we will say for now, is that "Hangover" is a cover of the dance-pop anthem by Taio Cruz and Flo Rida. It works...trust me!
ANYWAY back to the good stuff. Check out the artwork for the album...how good is that? This rad painting was once again done by the very talented Ingo Römling, who has handled all of our previous album covers. It features a bunch of pirate ships doing what they do best: shooting the crap out of each other. Cannons are cool. Also, the sky is red, as if to imply it's sunset. See what we did there?
OF COURSE the title of the album is a reference to "The Golden Age of Piracy", which was a period roughly between the years 1680-1720 (depending on who you ask), during which time all the famous pirates you've probably heard of were doing their thing in the Caribbean. Stealing treasure, kicking the ass of the British Navy, plundering wenches, and so forth. Like all good things, this age had to come to an end, and so we've used that as a general theme for this album. There's also songs about drinking and partying too.
In the coming weeks and months we'll be giving you more details about the album, including preorder information, special editions, and other stuff...and we'll maybe let you all hear a song if you're good boys and girls! Until then, stay piratical!

Tänään tuli ulos Enfarcen debyytti, ottakaa haltuun se tuolta. Ei pitäisi olla hinnasta kiinni kun halvimmallaan voi ostaa 3e tuon digitaalisen version. Itse nappasin molemmat, fyysisen kopion ja digitaalisen edullisesti kun ei jaksa itse ruveta rippailemaan koneelle. Siellä on Stratovariuksen Kupiainenkin tiluttamassa yhdessä biisissä, ja cover vetona Holding Out For A Hero vailla vertaa.

Elvenking teki parhaan levynsä sitten Wyrdin. Sabatonin Heroes on myös pirun kova. Noble Beastin st ja Evertalen Of Dragons & Elves on parhaat omakustannealbumit mitä on tullut ikinä vastaan, molemmat 9½ levyjä. Tolkin Avalon pt II on ihan paska. Vituttaa kun Real vei mestarien liigan. Suomelta paras peli skoda-cupissa. Viini on hyvää. Ei mulla muuta.

Pidetään ketju hengissä, eli -> tänään posti toi Twilight Forcen debyytin Tales of Ancient Prophecies tänne pohjolan peräkulmille ja odotetun kovahan tämä levy on. Yhden kuuntelun perusteella sanoisin että aika lähellä vuoden top5 ollaan. Laulaja on loistava ja soitto rullaa mukavasti. Kliseistä hilipatipippanpoweria Rhapsodyn ja kumppanien hengessä tämä on mutta pirun hyviä biisejä mahtuu levylle 7/10 ja loput on 2x välipuhe ja 1 x välisoitto. Toisin sanoen kaikki varsinaiset biisit on todella hyviä ja muu sälä on kieliposkessa vedettyä lohikäärme/mystinen sankari/miekka läppää. Suosittelen lämpimästi jos pitää ns. lohikäärmepowerista. Levy on hieman lyhyt mutta se ei menoa haittaa.
