In collaboration with the Estate of Michael Jackson, Epic/Legacy Recordings is releasing Michael Jackson's Vision on November 22, making available for the first time ever the entire library of short films produced by Michael Jackson during his career as a solo artist.
Packaged as a deluxe boxed set, Michael Jackson's Vision contains more than four-and-one-half hours of content across three DVDs, capturing the entire spectrum of Michael’s pioneering short films that transformed the entertainment industry with timeless, pop culture classics that today’s youth embrace with as much passion as their parents did a generation earlier.
Michael Jackson's Vision brings together more than 40 videos, ten of them previously unavailable on DVD and each presented in newly restored color and remastered audio. And this release marks the debut of the short film for the R. Kelly-penned "One More Chance."
The simultaneous emergence of MTV as a television force and Michael Jackson’s breakout as a global superstar provided the most epochal musical/cultural shift since the Beatles. Seizing the potential of MTV's 24-hour reach, Michael Jackson produced and starred in a series of what would become iconic short musical films that redefined and established the perimeters, and parameters, of an entire new medium.
Jackson's short-form zombie dance party masterpiece, "Thriller," famously directed by John Landis, remains a cultural phenomenon. It recently became the first (and only) music video to be inducted by the Library of Congress into the National Film Registry, an elite collection of only a few hundred films.
Michael Jackson's Vision includes the full-length versions of the John Landis-directed "Thriller" and “Black or White” as well as the classic “Bad” directed by Academy Award ®-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Also included in the boxed set are Michael’s collaborations with such other noted film directors as John Singleton, Spike Lee and David Fincher as well as “Ghosts,” his rarely-seen collaboration with special effects legend Stan Winston.
Michael Jackson's Vision will be available in a limited edition deluxe boxed set featuring a 60-page glossy hard-bound book that includes behind-the-scenes photos from Michael's personal archives.
The state-of-the-art packaging includes cover art using lenticular virtual imaging technology to vividly represent memorable scenes from Michael Jackson's signature short films.

Uus levy Spotifyn kautta kuuntelussa, esim. Hollywood Tonightista huomaa selvästi, että siinä on joku imitaattori vetänyt laulut nauhalle. Hold My Hand on ihan jees hitaampi biisi Michaelilta, ei kuitenkaan mitään maailmaa mullistavaa. Keep Your Head Up on vielä hitaampi, ja vähän laimeampi, ei nappaa nämä Invicible-tyylin biisit ollenkaan. Monster on ihan jees, tosin imitaattori laulajana häiritsee tuossakin. Best Of Joy on jälleen perus Inviciblen tyyliä, ei nappaa tämäkään. Breaking Newsiin sama kuin Monsteriin. Much Too Soonissa on jälleen Michael kehissä, ja onhan tämä ainakin oikealla paikalla, rauhallinen päätösbiisi.
Sitten niihin levyn kärkipään vetoihin, ensimmäisenä Another Day, joka jo demoversiona iski, ja tämä versio ei tuota pettymystä. ^Anotherissa on kyllä loistavat ainekset, mutta valitettavasti kertosäe tarjotaan jo aivan liian aikaisessa vaiheessa ja kulutetaan loppuun ennen biisin loppua. Olisi kivan ollut kuulla tästä ihan lopullinen hiottu versio Mikon tekemänä, mutta hyvä näinkin että tuli kuultavaksi.

He wasn't in condition to be at rehearsal..he didn't seem well enough to be there...he didn't rehearse and didn’t want to go home..asked for choreography to do his part and watch from arena..this happened for a while. He just appeared very lost it was scary..it felt scary..said MJ

'This Is It' Producer -- Star Witness in MJ Prelim
Michael Jackson's producer/director for the "This Is It" tour will be a star witness for the prosecution in Dr. Conrad Murray's preliminary hearing which begins today ... sources tell TMZ.
Our sources tell us ... Kenny Ortega will testify that on June 19, 2009 -- a week before MJ died -- Michael complained he was cold, had the shakes and was unable to perform ... so the rehearsal was canceled.
The next day -- June 20 -- an emergency meeting was held at Michael's home. Kenny Ortega, several big wigs from AEG, Michael, and Dr. Conrad Murray were present. We're told the meeting was "intense, loud and argumentative." Kenny read Michael the riot act, imploring him to take better care of himself because the tour was imminent.
Ortega will testify, during the meeting, Dr. Murray said some "terrible things," showing a lack of concern and respect for Michael. Our sources would not reveal specifics, but we're told it's "damaging" to Murray.
Sources say rehearsals were canceled on June 21 and 22 so Michael could regain his strength. Ortega will testify ... when rehearsals resumed on June 23 and 24 -- the day before Jackson died -- Michael did a complete turnaround, wowing the backup dancers and others present with his moves and singing.
Ortega's testimony is important, because prosecutors will argue MJ was fine before Murray began pumping him with drugs the day he died.
MJ Bodyguard -- Murray Asked, "Does Anyone Know CPR?"
Faheen Muhammad, one of Michael Jackson's bodyguards, just testified he was in Michael's room after Murray noticed MJ stopped breathing. Faheen told the prosecutor, Murray was on his knees doing compressions on MJ in a panicked state, when he turned to Faheen and another bodyguard and asked, "Does anyone in the room know CPR?"
Faheen recalled how Prince and Paris were near the room and Paris was on her hands and knees crying. The nanny took them away.
Faheen also said after Michael was pronounced dead at UCLA, Dr. Murray told him he was hungry and wanted to leave. Faheen said he told Murray to eat at the hospital, but Murray left.
On cross-examination, Ed Chernoff got Faheen to admit Murray spoke with MJ's family and police before leaving.

"Michael Jackson’s personal assistant, Michael Amir Williams, is the second person to take the stand in the preliminary hearing of Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal physician.
Williams testified, on the night Jackson died he got an urgent call from Murray saying ” Jackson had a bad reaction, a bad reaction, get here right away.” But he said, Murray did not ask him to call 911
Williams said he arrived at the house when the ambulance was already there and helped put the children in a car to follow the ambulance. He said the scene at the hospital was chaotic and he was in the room when the Jackson kids were told their father had died. Williams said Dr. Murray then approached him and said” Mr. Jackson has some cream in his room that I know he wouldn’t want the world to know about it, can you drive me back to the house to get it? Williams told Murray he didn’t have a key to the house when in fact he did. He says he called the house and ordered that it be put on lock down and not to let anyone in.
Earlier choreographer Kenny Ortega took the stand and described how Jackson was feeling ill at rehearsals for his This Is It Concert tour, just days before the singer died."

I didn't know that nobody was allowed upstairs besides Michael, the children and Murray... Mohammed was allowed up this time, saw Michael on the bed and he said he knew he was DEAD right there he had his eyes open he was totally gone, Murray very panicedly said did he know CPR... While they were saying this they showed pictures of the room Michael died in, I didn't see them but a lot of the fans who could were crying... Mohammed then realised that Prince was in the door way and he couldn't move, Paris was on the landing outside crying and so he took them down to the nanny, and the nanny put them in the car to follow the ambulance.
We all thanked Mohammed so many times when he came out of the courthouse for being so kind to Michael and the children...
The judge said he wanted to continue but he has a tight schedule so it starts all over again tomorrow morning at 9:30am... And could last for up to two weeks
Oh and something no one is talking about - Murray had a REALLY bad day today. His lawyers kept asking these stupid questions and the prosecution kept objecting and getting sustained.. and then they would ask again in a different way all the time about being allowed up to Michael's bedroom and would they find their fingerprints up there and all... It was stupid they were trying to make a case from nothing, today was absolutely a win for the prosecution!
And I heard this from a girl who got in the actual courtroom, Katherine was getting really angry when they were talking about Murray calling people the whole time and people kept leaning over to her and rubbing her back :'(
I dont know what media reported but all that happened was the defense laywer said to Kenny did he ever talk to Michael about his condition and he said no. He said did he talk to Michael's friends about it and he said no. He said he heard he had yelled at Michael long time friend and colleague Karen Faye about it and Kenny said he didn't. This was weird in general because Kenny had been giving such big answers before and he just said no to all these...

12:21pm Alvarez told to get a bag and Murray collects medical bottles, and IV bag etc., as told and only then is he told to call 911.
Possible that Murray waited 20 minutes to call 911...MJ could have been dead before noon.
12:26pm Paramedics treating MJ on site. MJ’s Eyes fixed and dilated and he was cool to touch. He flatlined so heart action taking place. MJ dead...no observation of appropriate equipment for treatment with propofol, according to paramedics.

Päivälleen 15 vuotta sitten, 24.8.1997, Michael Jackson toi HIStory World Tour -kiertueensa Helsingin Olympiastadionille. 50 000 ihmistä näki tuon huikean show'n paikan päällä, me muut pääsimme katsomaan keikan myöhemmin televisiosta.
VHS-nauhat ovat ajat sitten kuluneet loppuun, mutta onneksi on YouTube, josta koko yli kaksituntinen keikka löytyy.
Ja upealtahan se näyttää edelleen.

^En ollut keikalla, mutta katsoin sen konsertin TV:stä ja nauhoitin sen myös. Kovasti sitä tuli silloin aikoinaan diggailtua. Hyvä keikka se muistaakseni oli ja Jacksonin musiikki oli noihin aikoihin iso juttu.
