Tiketti sivullaan wrote:Superkokoonpano HAIL! Helsinkiin 25.3.
Judas Priestin, Megadethin, Sepulturan ja Slayerin ex-jäsenistä koostuva Hail! palaa Helsinkiin. Keikka pidetään Dante’s Highlightissa 25. maaliskuuta. Huippuluokan lämmittelijänä nähdään Los Bastardos Finlandeses.
HAIL! yhtyeen jäsenet ovat marinoituneet kovissa bändeissä ajan saatossa, line-upin muodostavat: David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth), Andreas Kisser (ex-Sepultura), Paul Bostaph (Testament, ex-Slayer) and ja Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen). Yhtye soittaa keikoillaan etupäässä omien bändiensä kappaleita covereilla höystettynä.

LIPUT: alk. 19 € (ovelta 20 €), K-18
Viime keikalla olleena voin sanoa että toimii! Wanhan liiton miehet ovat enemmän kuin kotonaan. Yleisöä viime keikalla oli heikonlaisesti, johtuen varmaankin huonosta tiedottamisesta mut josko tällä kertaa olis eri meininki. SUOSITTELEN!

Rummuissakin on kiertänyt kovia kannuttajia.

HAIL! To Play Dates In Turkey, Estonia, Finland Without DAVID ELLEFSON
HAIL!, the all-star band whose most recent incarnation included bassist David Ellefson (MEGADETH), guitarist Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ex-JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH) and newly appointed chameleon drummer Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER), has issued the following update:
"Big news hit the metal world this week as our bassist and friend, David Ellefson, agreed to rejoin MEGADETH for the 'Rust In Peace' tour.
"Although saddened by our loss of David on upcoming HAIL! dates, we wish him the best and share in his happiness and success.
"Over the years of his absence from MEGADETH, something always seemed missing from all sides and this provides a wonderful opportunity for everybody to mend the past and move onto the future. What a great chance for younger fans who never got to see David play in MEGADETH and for the older ones to re-live fond memories.
"This reunion serves to reinforce the very spirit of HAIL! in that we all share a common bond of a bigger metal family. Despite differences, our love, respect and enjoyment of this music and lifestyle not only survives, but thrives.
"The HAIL! fist logo was meant to show how a united fist is stronger than five separate fingers. Symbolically, each finger represents each of us as individual people, musicans, bands, countries and fans while the fist shows the power and strength of our unity.
"Our metal unity had never been stronger and this year's MEGADETH reunion, 'Big Four' and 'American Carnage' tours all serve to prove that together we still stand proud and true.
"Although this announcement has been impacted by the recent news that Ellefson has agreed to rejoin MEGADETH for their upcoming 'Rust In Peace' tour, we are pleased to announce that HAIL! are scheduled to play the following shows:
March 17 - Istanbul, Turkey
March 18 - Eskisehir, Turkey
March 19 - Ankara, Turkey
March 20 - Izmir, Turkey
March 24 - Tallin, Estonia
March 25 - Helsinki, Finland
March 26 - Lahti, Finland
March 27 - Kouvola, Finland
March 28 - Imatra, Finland
"Despite David's absence on this run, HAIL! will continue in full force and his fill-in will be announced shortly.
"Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all soon."

Blabbermouth wrote:HAIL!, the supergroup featuring mainstays Tim "Ripper" Owens (BEYOND FEAR, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ex-JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH), David Ellefson (MEGADETH) and Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), has announced its newest all-star member — Paul Gray from SLIPKNOT will be the new bass player for the band's upcoming European and Asian dates.
"With David Ellefson going back to MEGADETH, we needed someone to help fill-in for him as we had a lot of dates scheduled," said Owens. "We all knew Paul and it was actually Andreas who suggested him first. They had worked together pretty extensively during the 'Roadrunner United' show so it just seemed like a very easy and natural fit."
Kisser's response? “YEEEEAAAAHHHH! This will be f'ing great!!"
David Ellefson graciously passed the torch to his old friend,. I've known Paul for a long time and he's just a great guy," David said. "SLIPKNOT is huge and they have had an enormous impact in carrying on the metal tradition to the newer generation. I'm thrilled for Paul and I'm glad that he will now have this opportunity to share in the HAIL! fun."
Paul Gray shared his excitement: "This is going to be amazing! After I heard the news about David reuniting with MEGADETH I touched base with Andreas and everything fell into place pretty immediately. I was excited about what they were doing and their whole attitude is just cool, old school camaraderie and fun and I wanted to share that with them. Fortunately, I had this window of time available as SLIPKNOT are on break so the timing worked perfectly. These guys have been through it all and they represent true metal brotherhood. I like that and I'm glad to now be a part of it. I can't wait, I wish we’d leave tomorrow. These shows are going to kick ass!"
In addition to Gray, drummer Paul Bostaph (TESTAMENT, SLAYER, EXODUS) will also be rejoining HAIL! for this tour.
"I played the Beirut, Lebanon, show with them back in November and we all just had a blast together," Bostaph said. "The cultural experience was one of a lifetime and hanging out with everybody was awesome. HAIL! has a very, very special thing happening — I mean, come on, first Lebanon and now three dates in Siberia?! Who does that? I'm excited to be playing with them again; they're great guys and I'm honored."
"As always, we plan on having some of our friends come up and jam with us and we already have some very cool guests confirmed. Between us we know a lot of people so you never know what's going to happen," said Kisser.
