Aika mielenkiintoista, että parit Bruce ajankin maidenit ovat päässeet Blaze käsittelyyn. Kunpa saisi pikaisesti maistiasisia tapahtumasta.

Perkule kun ei ole vieläkään Alive in poland dvd hyllyssä, kun en ole varma toistaako tuo dvd masiina sitä, no kerkeehän sitä onneksi myöhemminkin.

Live: Blaze Bayley - The Rigger, Newcastle Under-Lyme - 13/09/2007

BLAZE BAYLEY's first ever acoustic show took place in a small pub in the backstreets of Newcastle Under-Lyme, in Bayley's home county of Staffordshire - this was as intimate as it gets. As Bayley explained during his set, the 'My Life in Acoustic' tour is a medium for promoting his band's new live DVD 'Alive in Poland', and just a chance to get out and relieve his state of being (in his own words) "bored shitless".

The gig consists of Blaze Bayley on vocals and new guitarist Rich Newport on electro acoustic guitar. It all has the feel of 'an evening' with Blaze as between each song he tells a story and cracks a few jokes with the audience. The overwhelming thing about this gig was just how much Blaze enjoyed himself tonight, and a decent turn out lapped up every minute, giving the ex-IRON MAIDEN star a terrific response.

The setlist was made up of 5 WOLFSBANE songs, 5 BLAZE songs, and 5 IRON MAIDEN songs - 3 of which were from Blaze's time with the band, and 2 from the Dickinson era. The Maiden fanatics will have loved 'Wasted Years' which worked brilliantly in acoustic and is a song that Blaze never performed with Maiden. 'Sign of the Cross' was ambitious, but despite a few 'first gig' timing errors, it was surprisingly rather good.

The WOLFSBANE material was really fun to hear and helped instigate the great light-hearted atmosphere that surrounded the night. The crowd sing-a-longs to 'I Like it Hot' and 'Paint The Town Red' were quite humorous, as was Rich Newport's tendency to drift off into the Batman theme now and again. Newport's acoustic play was magnificent and he very much played his part in making this night a special one.

Amazingly, no songs were played from BLAZE's first and best solo album 'Silicon Messiah' (surely the title track and 'Stare at the Sun' would have worked well). 'Tenth Dimension' was just about the only song that didn't sound right with some frenetic acoustic guitaring - but the likes of 'Meant to Be' and 'Regret' sounded fantastic.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable night of no frills acoustic music. If you get the chance to catch a show on this tour - make sure you don't miss it.

Taitaa olla basisti ja kitaristi vieläkin Suomessa jumissa..miten on onko Iivis taas törmäillyt heihin paikallisissa supermarketeissa

^Mielenkiintoista nähdä miten pitkälle tuo reunioni vielä kehittyy, mitenköhän käy Blazen soolopändin? Voipi olla että tuo Wolfsbane on vaan projektiluontoinen juttu.

Tämän kerkesin juuri kattomaan. Blaze vetää hyvin, kitaristit kohtuullisen hyvin, basisti välillä mitä sattuu ja rumpalin työskentely on kyllä todella huonoa tuolle tasolle. Tempo heittelee aika vitusti minun korvaan. Ja nuo ihme bassarisekoilut - ei toimi.

Oli tuo rumpalin kannalta aika surkuhupaisaa yliyrittämistä, mutta muu kyllä toimi.

Hmm, jokohan on taas käynyt kato Blazen pändissä, vai liekö kuva päivityksen alla. Nimittäin virallisilta Blaze sivuilta on poistunut kitaristi Rickhin kuva.

Sad but true.... Rich Newport has left the Blaze Bayley band, ALL SHOWS will continue as planned, this does NOT affect the gigs at all as J Walsh will be playing guitar instead
We have worked with J for the last few shows since September.
Rich Newport has decided to persue a career as a guitar teacher.
This does not affect the album release at all Blaze Bayley and Nico Bermudez and David Bermudez have already written most of the new material.
We wish Rich Newport all the best for the future.
I am looking forward to seeing you at all the future gigs, keep watching, we are booking more all the time.

No voi saatana! Kyllä Blazen leirissä taitaa itse isännällä olla hiekkaa pipareissa, kun ovet käy ihan kokoajan. Baareissakaan vaihdu asiakkaatkaan noin kovalla voluumilla.

A very big welcome to Lawrence Paterson, We auditioned many fantastic drummers and we were so pleased with Lawrence Paterson that we asked him to be in the band full time, Lawrence is an awesome drummer as you will see at the gigs.
I would like to say at this point a big thank you to all the guys that audioned, you were awesome and we hope to see you again sometime.

itse olen pitänyt blazesta siitä asti kun mies maideniin otettiin,
itse en ole kyllä mitään miinusta löytänyt kyseisestä miehestä..
dickinsonin biisejähän blazen oli vaikeampi laulaa kun lauluääni
oli erillainen.
ite toivon blazelle menestystä urallaan!

Harmi tosiaankin että kaverin sooloura on jäänyt niin vähälle huomiolle. Todella hyvää vähän raskaampaa musiikkia tehny. Kaikki soololevyt on omasta mielestä tosi laadukkaita ja Tenth Dimensionin soundeja lukuunottamatta on sounditkin todella terävät. Varsinkin Silicon Messiahilla. End Dream iskee ehkä koviten tällä hetkellä. Onko Sin By Sinistä missään studioversiota?

Ei ole eikä tule, valitettavasti. Biisistä on Blazen käsialaa vain sanat, joten bändin lähdettyä asian voi unohtaa.

Toivottavasti. Rocktownin keikat olivat niin vitun kovia, että mielellään menisi Blazen keikalle uudestaankin.

Oli muuten hauska lukea läppää Sveitsin keikkamatkasta tuolta Imperiumin foorumilta, kannattaa käydä lukemassa "keikat ja festarit"-osiossa. Blaze on varsin maanläheinen tyyppi, jossei se nyt jo aikaisemminkin ollut selvää

Hiukan uudehkoa maistiaista uudesta Blaze kokoonpanosta livenä, kyllähän tämä rumpali Ricon aina päihittää, mutta Jeffistä ollaan hyvin kaukana edelleen.Muuten vaikuttaa kyllä hyvälle Blaze rintamalla, on säätöä Wolfsbanen suuntaan ja sooloa

On sanottava että en ole pahemmin perehtynyt ko. jätkään. Tänään kyllä heräteostoksena ostin Virtual XI:n, voisipa tässä joulun pyhinä sitä kuunnella, että onko mistään kotoisin. Ainakin levyllä on yksi lempikappaleeni, Clansman.
